Donna Davis is a multi-disciplinary artist whose works explore intersections between art and science, with a particular focus on natural and social ecosystems. Through the creative lens of an artist, she imagines different futures and constructs new ways of ‘seeing’ complex natural systems and our roles within them.
Donna has undertaken several residencies with organisations that include the Australian Tropical Herbarium, Queensland Herbarium, Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Queensland State Archives and the Department of Environment and Science (DES). Donna has also been an artist-in-residence on an international project based in Cairns, working with scientists from George Washington University, USA and the Natural History Museum of London, UK.
Donna’s work is represented in a number of public and private collections, and she has exhibited widely in solo and selected group exhibitions, including ARTNOW FNQ 2022 at the Cairns Art Gallery.
