Lenore Howard was born in Cairns, Queensland, in 1955. Her arts practice includes works on paper, painting, ceramics, assemblages and monotypes.
Since 2004 Lenore’s focus has been on pure abstraction, with an emphasis on exploring ways to distress the surface of irregularly shaped structures in order to reveal dimensionality and tensions of negative space.
Lenore’s work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the Cairns region. In 2012 she completed a public art commission for a 9-piece cast aluminium sculpture located on the Cairns Esplanade, and her work is represented in a number of public and private collections.
