This six-week program is designed for early primary school-aged children. Adrienne Shaw will teach a range of introductory art skills based on the exhibitions on display and complimenting what is studied at school.

Students in Level 2 will enrol in a 12-week program comprising six classes during Term 3 and six classes during Term 4.
Level 2 is a program for children aged 8-11 years and is designed to challenge those with a special interest in the visual arts. Different artists sharing their core area of expertise will teach the children in blocks. Students will learn fundamental art skills such as composition, line, tone, colour, shape and form through structured projects and activities. During the Level 2 program the focus is on enhancing abilities through broadening visual vocabulary whilst also retaining children’s ability for free-flowing creative expression. Level 2 classes form a sound foundation for Level 3.

Students in Level 3 Classes will enroll in a 12-week program over term 1 and term 2. The GALLERY ART SCHOOL gives an option for Level 3 students to enroll for the whole year to maximize their learning and focused development of their artistic and creative abilities.
Level 3 is for students who take creating their artwork and art classes seriously. This program may assist students who require a folio of work for application to a high school art excellence program. Participants will further develop their skills in drawing and painting as well as working in 3D. This program will also teach the students about historical and contemporary artists and artworks throughout each term. The program will be structured and students will work towards a mini group exhibition of their work at the end of 2017.
