Level 3 Classes are for 11-16 years old students who take creating artwork and art classes seriously. This program may assist students who require a folio of work for application to high school art excellence programs by encouraging free expression and confidence in their artistic abilities. Students will develop techniques used by real artists, and gradually develop a deep understanding of the value and enjoyment that can be gained through art. Participants will further their skills in drawing and painting as well as working in other media. This program will also teach about historical and contemporary artists and allow students to work toward a mini group exhibition at the end of 2019.
Level 3 students are in for a special treat and start the term with their first session from artist Linda Jackson. Linda will take the students on an 'artist walk and talk', discussing ideas, concepts and techniques that show the process of Linda's method of translating ideas from paint to print, before students will start the development of their own ideas.
The five following weeks will be focussed on learning design and screen printing techniques with teacher Jenny Martin.
