From its peak popularity during the Renaissance to its continued relevance today, life drawing remains one of the most iconic and foundational forms of artistic practice.
Embrace your inner artist in this introductory series with experienced tutor and practising artist Sue Schreiber. Using charcoal and pastels, Sue will guide you through realistically capturing the human form, while exploring essential concepts such as proportion, gesture, line, and shading.
Whether you're a beginner or brushing up on your skills, this series offers a supportive environment to develop your confidence and technique.
Each class will begin with preliminary sketches to practice the various skills of capturing pose, angles, dimensions and details before finishing with a completed work of art.
We kindly ask that you turn your phone off and do not use it during the session out of respect of our model. All photography will be prohibited.
This class is strictly 18+. Cairns Art Gallery reserves the right to request proof of age of attendees.
