Observational Drawing with Keelie Nichols, artist Ages 4-9

Observe, critique and discover through drawing. Be inspired by the forms and shapes of the sculptural works on display in Daniel Wallwork’s exhibition Sunsets and Spinifex. The group will spend time in the exhibition looking at how this artist has assembled objects from around his home to create sculptural pieces that model the heat and humidity of remote Far North Queensland. These unique exhibition pieces will be the inspiration to create 2D drawings, paying attention tone, texture and lines.

All materials are provided and students can be dropped off to enjoy this activity under the supervision of our qualified teachers.
