Paper-mâché Sea Creatures with Narelle Wilson, Ages 8-14 years (Term Four)

Get ready to sculpt your own sea creature! Paper-mâché is a fantastic hands-on medium for young artists to bring their imaginations to life!

Students will first learn how to create an armature of a sea creature from recycled cardboard, foil and tape. They will then build up their sculpture with paper mache applying newspaper strips and glue to make a lightweight and solid sculpture.

Once dry they will bring their creation to life using bold acrylic paints and vibrant paint pens to add eye-catching patterns, textures and details.

Absolutely no experience or drawing skills are needed. Just bring your imagination and students will explore the endless possibilities of colour, form and texture!
