What's On | Programs and Events

This workshop is designed to enhance paper skills. Participants are asked to consider shape, colour, tearing, cutting, layering and symmetry. In their collage participants will combine the shapes and colours of both torn and cut paper shapes to create a portrait on heavy card.

8–12 years with Amber Grossman, Artist.

Participants will create a mixed media self-portrait collage based on the work of American artist and cultural icon, Jean Michel Basquiat.

Outcomes:

• Learn about Jean-Michel Basquiat
• Experiment with art materials and mixed media techniques
• Create a self-portrait with elements that define their identity
• Participants will complete a mixed media collaged portrait on paper
