Capture the beauty of the human face, body and clothing in this six-week introductory portrait course.
In each session, you’ll explore dynamic approaches to translating a live model onto paper, guided by experienced artist Sue Schreiber and her thoughtful approach to figure, structure, and drapery.
Working with charcoal and pastel, you’ll learn to see and render tone with confidence, balancing light and shadow to convey depth, texture, and the complexity of the figure. Along the way, you’ll develop a more discerning eye for proportion, gesture, and detail.
