Mixed Media Landscapes with Jamie-Lee Simpson, artist, ages 9-14

Forget sticking to one tool—this project challenges you to combine the best of three dynamic mediums: the fluidity of watercolour, the bold lines of ink, and the vibrant opacity of POSCA paint markers to create a landscape drawing.

Start by building the foundation of your scene using watercolour washes to create soft, atmospheric skies and blending hill before layering in ink to add graphic details, strong shadows, or dramatic outlines, giving your piece a professional, illustrative edge.

All materials are provided. To promote a focused and independent learning environment, we require that parents/carers do not remain in the classroom during art sessions. Students can enjoy this activity under the supervision of our qualified teachers.
